| My typical and best work is done from photo sessions with the client. Photo sessions are not strenuous, and usually last only an hour or so. We then meet again to decide which photos will be used to make the painting. (This step can be handled through the mail or Internet if necessary. ) If I am using my digital camera, we can sometimes decide on the photos the same day as the photo session. After the client views the final painting I will make changes or corrections if necessary. (Customer satisfaction is guaranteed.) Most people prefer outdoor environments for their paintings, so most of my photo sessions take place in the summer and fall. There are beautiful beaches nearby that I use for photo sessions, as well as my own extensive gardens, or I will go to the client's home for a personalized portrait environment. Indoor photo sessions may be scheduled any time of the year. The wait between photo session and the finished painting varies, anywhere from a month to a year, depending on the number of paintings on my list and the difficulty of each. My customers are usually not in a hurry, because they know that quality hand-painted artwork takes time. A $50 deposit will secure a spot on my portrait schedule. Painting sizes are flexible, depending upon what the customer wants, and what seems appropriate for the subject being painted. I tend to work rather large. For instance, the 5-person family portrait on my website is 5 feet wide. A typical size for a full-figure painting of one person would be 2 feet by 3 feet or larger. |
| Prices do not include framing. Detailed backgrounds and pets are a small additional charge. Travel expenses are added when applicable. If the painting will be shipped, then the cost of packaging and shipping will be added. |
